Editorial guidelines for this platform

This website is managed and maintained by community volunteers. Range Community News promotion of any political discussion or event is independent of any political or religious affiliation. Range Community News, and the MVA maintain a stance of neutrality and non-partisanship.

The primary purpose of this Community website is to provide a public profile for the Blackall Range community and its surrounding districts. The Range Community News website is a service supported by the MADCA and the MVA and is provided as a service, as is, to the community. We prioritise topics that promote, support, and strengthen our community with the aim of ‘connecting community’.

If you have events or news that you would like to promote through this website, or if you notice any errors that you would like to see corrected, please email us at info@rangecommunitynews.au. We welcome submissions from the community, but we reserve the right to decline or edit any content that does not meet our submission guidelines.

Submission guidelines

Our submission guidelines require that all content is appropriate for a diverse community audience, is factually accurate and does not promote discriminatory or illegal activity. We prioritise constructive news which strengthens the community fabric. Please note that we do not guarantee that every article or promotion will definitely appear.

We strive to maintain editorial independence and provide a platform for community expression. The views expressed by contributors do not necessarily reflect those of the website administrators, MADCA or the MVA. We appreciate your contributions to our community platform and look forward to sharing your news and events with the wider community.

A Voice for the Hinterland

The Mapleton and District Community Association (MADCA) and the Montville Village Association (MVA) are local, not-for-profit community organisations that collaborates with residents, community groups, and local government to address local issues, advocate for our community's needs, and celebrate our rich heritage.
